Tool have announced their first album in over a decade, the follow-up to 2006's '10,000 Days'.
The band unveiled the news onstage in Birmingham, Alabama last night, by flashing the release date - 30th August - up on screens.
“Alright everyone take out your phones,” frontman Maynard James Keenan declared. “Security stand down and let these fuckers do whatever it is with their phones.”
The news following the band airing some rare new material at Welcome to Rockville Festival on Sunday night, debuting two new songs: ‘Descending’ and ‘Invincible’.
