Wolf Alice still second favourites to win the Mercury Prize

Wolf Alice are currently second favourites to win the Mercury Prize 2015, with their debut album ‘Our Love Is Cool’ coming in at 7/1, just behind Jamie xx’s recent effort ‘In Colour’ at 7/2.

They’re tied with Benjamin Clementine, who’s also 7/1, with the remaining nominees: Eska 8/1, Ghostpoet 8/1, Aphex Twin 12/1, SOAK 12/1, Slaves 12/1, Roisin Murphy 14/1, Gaz Coombes 16/1, C Duncan 20/1, and Florence & The Machine 20/1.

“At this late stage in the past, we have normally had a big gamble on one or more of the frontrunners but it is currently far too difficult to call the winner,” says William Hill spokesman Rupert Adams.

The winner will be announced this Friday (20th November).
