We’ll be honest; we’re a little giddy right now. Xmas is just over a month away, the festive spirit is in full swing, and we’re dropping our final issue of 2017 tomorrow (Friday, 24th November).
Because it’s cause for celebration, we’ve saved a really doozy until last. A bumper double edition, it includes all of this brilliant stuff.
It’s a first Upset cover for Marmozets!
Yep, we’re delighted to bring the mighty Marmozets to Upset’s cover for the first time. With their second album set to drop at the start of next year, they’re the perfect band to lead our charge into 2018, ready to take on the forces of evil.
Oh great, it’s twenty-one-eight!
They’re not the only band we’re talking to ahead of a big new year, either. There’s Fall Out Boy, Waterparks, Against The Current, Tonight Alive, Puppy, Black Foxxes, Brian Fallon, Muncie Girls, Milk Teeth, Of Mice & Men, The Xcerts and more.
Creeps off the leash
All things told, they’re our band of the year, so obviously we caught up with the mighty Creeper to look back on a glorious twelve months, and ahead to a bright future.
The best of 2017
They head up a massive Best of 2017 section, featuring our albums of the year and new brand interviews with Diet Cig, PVRIS, Enter Shikari, Frank Carter, Charly Bliss and The Menzingers.
“We don’t play the game”
It’s not all looking backwards and forwards, though. We’re living in the present too, as Converge return with their first album in five years. We catch up with them to find out more.
As New Found Glory wrap up their 20th anniversary tour with a special trilogy of shows, we spend 72 hours in London with pop-punk’s greatest underdogs.
As if that’s not enough, we’ve got the best new bands in About to Break, with Black Futures and Gold Key, live reports from Weezer and The Xcerts, and all the latest news and ‘stuff’. The new issue of Upset is out tomorrow, 24th November. You can pre-order a copy below, or subscribe here. Get on it!
