Mark Hoppus has revealed more details about new material from blink-182.
Speaking to ABC Radio, the bassist explained the trio are tracking the follow-up to 2016's 'California'.
"We're trying to get away from picking up an acoustic guitar and starting a song that way," he revealed. "We've been writing songs based around beats that [drummer] Travis [Barker] has come up with, or maybe just a keyboard line or one little guitar riff and building around that."
He also spoke about collaborators for the record, including Pharrell Williams who is one of three producers working on the album.
"He brought an idea for a track that we worked on for a couple days that is very immediate, happy, punk-inspired, sing-along happy punk rock," Hoppus explained. "We want to go out on tour, we have shows lining up. We are ready to start that whole cycle again."
