Frank Turner has shared a new single, 'Little Changes' from his upcoming album 'Be More Kind'.
Receiving its first radio play yesterday, 'Little Changes' follows '1933', 'Make America Great Again' and the title track from the new record, due out this Friday (4th May).
'Little Changes' borrows a bouncing bassline from the Cure which buoys an optimistic ditty about getting over relationship trouble. The tracks so far have seen Turner branch out slightly from his usual folk-rock oeuvre. Check out 'Little Changes' in the player below.
"It started out as a simple folk song about relationships", Turner said. "In particular drawing on my experiences with CBT therapy in the last couple of years - the idea of trying to make small, practical adjustments to your life, which can add up to something significant. Over time, the music grew in a really interesting, early 80s pop direction, and the metaphor of the lyric grew into something more expansive.”
Turner is in the midst of a UK tour previewing the album and headlines the second Lost Evenings festival at the Roundhouse next weekend. That hasn't stopped him already making plans for next year, with a recently announced arena run for early 2019. Check out full dates after the jump.
