Dream State are making ‘New Waves’ with their new single

South Wales’ finest new five piece Dream State are back with a brand new track, taken from a forthcoming EP.

‘New Waves’ is the first cut from their new ‘Recovery’ EP, which is set to arrive on 18th May via UNFD. Debuted on Annie Mac’s BBC Radio 1 show last night, vocalist CJ Gilpin describes the track as being “about finally letting go of prodigal habits and ties and riding new waves, making fresh starts, releasing myself of the past and welcoming the future.

“Life is not easy for anyone but it’s good to remember how far you’ve come and no matter how dark life can appear, it can’t compete with the light that follows, so I put these new experiences and feelings I’ve been having into New Waves and I couldn’t be happier with the results.

So there we go. Dream State are set to play Download, 2000trees, The Great Escape and Slam Dunk this summer. You can read our recent chat with the band right here, and check out ‘New Waves’ below.
