The Valentine’s Day Mixtape: Panic! At The Disco

Alright Lovers. Being the warm-hearted romantics that we are, we asked our favourite bands to curate five track mix-tapes to celebrate Valentine’s Day (AND THEN WE WROTE SOME NONSENSE TO GO WITH THEM.) some are heart-felt, some are brilliant and some are awful but all are about love. and isn’t that the true spirit of this great holiday? Maybe.

Harry Connick Jr. – What Are you Doing New Year’s Eve

There’s nothing like an optimist and this track sees you planning almost eleven months in advance. A bold move but, like a boombox above the head, the best ones always are.
Most Romantic Moment: What ARE you doing NYE?
Romantic Rating: ★★★★

Frank Sinatra – All The Way

A second showing from Mr. Sinatra and for good reason. He’s the king of romance.
Most Romantic Moment: “Deeper than the deep blue sea is, that’s how deep it goes if it’s real,” is perfect for a MSN screen name.
Romantic Rating: ★★★★

Bonnie Raitt – I Can’t Make You Love Me

Another sad heart anthem. Sorry guys but you know we love you.
Most Romantic Moment: Turns out you’re never alone with music.
Romantic Rating: ★

J. Geils Band – Love Stinks

Playing in an alleyway has never looked so cool and wearing sunglasses inside has never really gone out of style.
Most Romantic Moment: Getting a heart tattoo.
Romantic Rating: ★★★★

Louis Armstrong – La Vie En Rose

French is the language of love and you won’t get very far with just “Bonjour” and “Je m’appelle…”.
Most Romantic Moment: Big brass.
Romantic Rating: ★★★★★
