Youth Man head to the pub with ‘Fat Dead Elvis’

Following on from the announcement that Youth Man have signed to Venn Records, the band have unveiled brand new track ‘Fat Dead Elvis‘. Check out the video below.

‘Fat Dead Elvis’ is lifted from Youth Man’s ‘Wax’ EP which is coming July 1st via Venn Records and preorders for the release are now live.

“With ‘Wax’ we wanted to make a record that properly captured our live sound,” explain the band. “We wrote the tracks in between tours last year and playing them live felt good for us, so we extended that vibe to the studio and recorded the EP through the night in one live session. They’re night time songs. We wrote them at night and play them at night and you can hear that on the songs.”

Youth Man are supporting Dead! on April 28th at Alley Cats in London.

Speaking to Upset late last year, Miles Cocker revealed that Youth Man have big plans beyond ‘Wax’. “If everything comes together, and if we write and tour in the right way, possibly an album. I think it’s a natural progression that the EP that’s already in the pipeline would be the lead up to a full-length,” ventures Miles.
