Radkey get weird and wonderful with ‘Glore’ video

According to Nicos Livesey the director of Radkey‘s latest single, ‘Glore‘ is a track that will make you, “wanna run around drinking beer and throwing up Haribo.” It’s a brilliant summation of the technicolor riot that Radkey channel and it’s captured perfectly in the accompanying stop-motion video. Stop what you’re doing and indulge in the clay-based carnage of the following 132 seconds.

In order to help you calm down after that cultural rainbow trip (S/O Hypnotoad and Monster Munch crisps) here’s some cold, hard facts about the video.

It took 5 stop motion animators 10 weeks to finish, with the help of 18 interns who may or may not have survived the 10-12 hour working days. 435 bars of clay and 2 bottles of factor 50 suncream were used in the video.

‘Glore’ is taken from Radkey’s debut album ‘Dark Black Makeup‘ (“We want people to hear it and think, ‘Fuck, finally!’”) which came out earlier this year on Strange Loop Records. The trio are heading out on a UK tour this October and if you can stop watching the above, the dates are below.
