PVRIS release video for ‘You and I’

Turns out PVRIS love a music video. Following on from Friday’s ‘Mirrors‘, the band have now dropped the video for ‘You and I‘. Check it out below.

The track is the first new material we’ve had from the band since they released their debut album at the tail end of 2014 and will feature on the upcoming Deluxe Edition of ‘White Noise’, which will also feature all the band’s music videos.

‘You and I’sees the band on the move once more. Atmospheric and chirping, the track still captures their film noir spirit but, instead of back alleys and bedrooms, ‘You and I’ is built for the stage. The band has always had a rich, cinematic edge to their music but now it comes in glorious high definition.

Ever wondered why PVRIS make so many music videos? Well, it’s an extension of how they write the songs in the first place.
“The coolest thing about music is that you can create your own world, in your own imagery, through sound. You can literally paint a picture with sound. I like how everyone’s perception of it is different. In a way, I always picture a place, colours or certain actions. They’re things I wouldn’t be able to draw so I always have some sort of atmosphere, vibe or place in my head, then I try and make that through sound. The best thing about this style of music, with electronics and programming, is that you can really create a vision that’s not restricted to three or four instruments. You can literally make any sound you want. You can create any atmosphere you want. The possibilities are endless,” explains Lynn.
