NOTHING release new track ‘Eaten By Worms’

NOTHING are releasing their highly anticipated second album ‘Tired of Tomorrow‘ on May 13th via Relapse Records and to keep the excitement building (as if that was even possible) the band have dropped new track/video ‘Eaten By Worms‘. Check it out below.

It’s a bleak contrast to the hyper colourful video for ‘Vertigo Flowers‘ but what’s life without a touch of variety, eh?

“The song is very much about being in pain and dancing with the feverish curiosity of whether this life is any more significant then what comes after or what came before,” explains Dominic Palermo to Rolling Stone “It’s very much about letting go.

Kevin (Haus, co-director) and I began to develop a story around these concepts. Kevin was interested in writing something about how we’re all connected by the tragic in life and our inherent need to make sense of it all. We talked about an incident I had in Oakland and common experiences of being in the hospital on demerol, morphine, anesthesias, anxiety meds and a host of other painkillers. I was basically taking the same medication cocktail that killed Michael Jackson. We immediately latched on to MJ’s mythological, Hermes-like being and his obsession with lost youth and Peter Pan, as well as the tragedy of his own life. Our take was that from tragedy arises this simple innocent that’s led into the unknown.”

The band will be celebrating the release of ‘Tired of Tomorrow’ with a double whammy of London shows, first taking to Rough Trade East for a stripped down set before hot-footing it over to Hackney’s The Moth Club for a noisy headline show.
