“The opening line of Mercy – “Help me I’ve fallen on the inside” – is a reference to the protagonist knowing and recognising that they have lost something, they have lost themselves,” explains Muse frontman Matt Bellamy. “This is where he realises that he is being overcome by the dark forces that were introduced to him in Psycho.”
Yep, Muse are back with another track, ‘Mercy’, from their forthcoming album ‘Drones’ – alongside another explanation from Bellamy that sounds straight out of tin foil hat club. The Download Festival headliners will release their latest full-length on June 8th.
