FIDLAR bring anarchy to the ‘West Coast’ in new video

There’s something about FIDLAR‘s upbeat surf punk that makes people want to throw themselves about. Be it in off a stage, into a crowd or onto a sofa, FIDLAR are sat on your shoulder telling you to just do it and now the band have captured all that energy in the video for ‘West Coast’ which you can watch below.

The track aired yesterday on Radio One as Annie Mac’s Hottest Record.

Collecting five years of live footage, the video for ‘West Coast’ is a series of anarchic snapshots that highlight the chaos and community that FIDLAR inspire. Watch below for a taster and then prepare yourself for their mainstage slot at The Reading and Leeds festivals.

“Guys, we wouldn’t have made it here without yous. You’ve come to every show, jumped on stage, stole our set lists and raged with us. Our new video for our song “West Coast” features footage that we took from the last 5 years and it shows the most excellent times that we’ve had together,” explain FIDLAR on their website before offering fans a chance to get involved.

“BUT, we need your help in making a second video that is from your perspective. Here’s how it works:

Post your FIDLAR photos, images, GIFs, clips, WHATEVER to tumblr, twitter and instagram and use #FIDLARTOO (hashtag it). When you do that, it will appear right here on this site. We are going to look at all the stuff and make it into a new video.
We need all your shenanigans by 7/31 and we will put up a new video on 8/7. Thanks for everything!”
