My Chemical Romance are officially teasing something

My Chemical Romance broke up in 2013. We were all upset but we’ve all moved on. We’ve had solo albums from Frank Iero and Gerard Way, Ray Toro has been drip-feeding new music and Mikey Way has released his debut album with Electric Century. We’re all happy.

But the band’s official Youtube channel has uploaded this thirty-four second teaser, hinting that My Chemical Romance might not be as over as we think it is. Careful, you might get goosebumps.

MCRX seems to be hinting at a tenth anniversary celebration of something. The opening bars of ‘Welcome To The Black Parade’ is played in the video above and the date at the end, 23rd September 2016, is almost very close to the exact date of the tenth anniversary of ‘The Black Parade’s release (which was October 23rd 2006, fact fans.) Tour? Album rerelease? Just a reminder to get your long-form articles prepared? Who knows.

If you go to the tour section of the My Chem website though, there’s a suggestive little message. “Check back soon for more details on the upcoming tour.” Oh, we will.

Excited? Us? Never. Let the hypetrain commence.
