¡Ay Carmela! are ‘Crying in Public’

¡Ay Carmela! are releasing their debut album next month and we’ve got the first play of the first single below. Check out ‘Crying in Public’ right here. Go on, we dare you.

¡Ay Carmela! are led by Colour Me Wednesday‘s Carmela Pietrangelo (the band behind this incredible EP) and are releasing ‘Working Weeks‘ on July 28th via Dovetown.

‘Crying In Public’ is rugged yet shiny and “describes the post-breakup feeling of everything changing or losing its meaning, while outside everybody else carries on as normal, unaffected.” On the inside looking out can be a lonely place but ¡Ay Carmela! provide a sanctuary that doesn’t shy away from the harsh realities. It’s also a whole bunch of upbeat fun, but you’ll know that by now.

To celebrate the release, the band are heading out on tour. Dates as follows.

27 Brighton, The Prince Albert
28 London, DIY Space For London
31 Indietracks Festival

02 Cardiff, The Moon Club
03 Nottingham, JT Soar
04 Leeds, Wharf Chambers
05 Newcastle
06 Glasgow
07 York, Fulford Arms
