Lower Than Atlantis have always talked big. Today they walked big.
Taking to the main stage of Reading, they tackle their set with the sort of assured confidence that only comes from a band knowing they’re onto a winner. Grinning, excitable and with a handful of genuine anthems, the increase in velocity that the band are running with hasn’t found them out in the dark just yet.
Mike Duce is on his best behavior, admitting “I think it’s pretty funny that someone who once had to break into the festival ‘cos they had no money, is stood up here in front of you all,” but new song ‘Work For It’, still only a week old, is already causing trouble. This is the band at their peak but they aren’t going anywhere just yet.
