Wolf Alice’s ‘Bros’ is up for an Ivor Novello Award

The Ivor Novello Awards “celebrate, honour and reward excellence in British and Irish songwriting and composing,” which is nice of ’em.

The nominations for this year’s celebrations are out and Wolf Alice‘s ‘Bros‘ has gotten a nod in the “Best Song Musically and Lyrically” category (which is basically just Best Song, right?) alongside Ed Sheeran‘s ‘Bloodstreams‘ and Jamie Lawson‘s ‘Wasn’t Expecting That‘. Game on.

The winners will be announced on May 19th in a fancy London place.

‘Bros’ is taken from Wolf Alice’s debut album ‘My Love Is Cool‘. To remind yourself of just why it’s one of the Best Songs Musically and Lyrically, check it out below.
