Trent Reznor is putting together a Fight Club rock opera

Nine Inch Nails man and all-around hard bastard Trent Reznor has put his name to a plan to bring beloved novel and every edgy 14 year old’s favourite film Fight Club to the stage, as reported by NME.

Also involved in the project are original author Chuck Palahniuk and the film’s director David Fincher, who are together seeking to bring the skin-smacking modern classic to Broadway.

Fincher and Reznor have previously teamed up on the soundtracks for The Social Network, The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo and Gone Girl, so that’s a pretty solid pairing. Reports that Reznor himself may be laying the smackdown on-stage are completely made up (by us). Sorry. We can hope though, eh?
