The 1975 at Number 1 in the Official Albums Chart midweeks

The 1975 are currently at Number 1 in the Official Albums Chart midweeks, with their second album ‘I Like It When You Sleep, For You Are So Beautiful Yet So Unaware Of It’. If they hold the position come Friday, it will mark the Manchester four-piece’s second chart topping release, following their self-titled debut in 2013.

Last week’s Number 1, Adele is currently at Number 2, with David Bowie at 3, Justin Bieber at 4 and Coldplay at 5. Other new entries include Raleigh Ritchie’s ‘You’re A Man Now Boy’ at 27, Steel Panther’s ‘Live From Lexxi’s Mom’s Garage’ at 38, and School of Seven Bells’ ‘SVIIB’ at 39.

The 1975 will head off on tour next month, with a run that includes five nights at O2 Academy Brixton, as well as stops at O2 Apollo in Manchester, O2 Academy in Glasgow, and Barclaycard Arena in Birmingham.
