Turns out The Great Escape was just the start. SWMRS have announced a full UK tour (and a one-off show in Paris) for May.

Bringing ‘Drive North‘ across The Atlantic, SWMRS will visit London (obviously),Glasgow and Southampton amongst others. The full tour is as follows.

17 Paris, Mecanique Ondulatoire
19 Kingston, New Slang @ Hippodrome – Room 2
20 Brighton, The Great Escape – The Hope and Ruin
21 Leeds, Gold Sounds Festival – Brudenell Social Club
22 Glasgow, Broadcast
23 Newcastle, Think Tank
25 Southampton, The Joiners
26 London, Old Blue Last

The band recently released their debut album. Speaking about it to Upset, Cole Becker explains “I think it’s quite evolutionary. We all got older, we all got tougher. Emily’s Army ended up just being about fun, and this is about fun too, but it’s also about something serious and so the sound had to follow that. This is what we love to do, we want to be able to do this until we die.”

“Sometimes having weird emotional idiosyncrasies can feel very isolating but in the end, everyone’s got some sort of problem like that,” he continues. “‘Drive North’ is about breaking down people’s barriers from each other.”

And look, a poster.
