Taking place this May, Slam Dunk have announced details of a huge party to take place after the northern leg of the event. Following the festivities in Leeds, which will take place across stages in Millennium Square, the O2 Academy and Leeds Beckett University, a massive after-party will be thrown at the city’s First Direct Arena.
It’ll be the first time the venue has been used for a club night, and with 4000 festival goers able to attend, sees the Slam Dunk organisers in talks with the Guinness Book of World Records to certify it as the biggest rock club in the world ever.
“With the festival moving to a new location there has been much speculation over the location of the infamous afterparty,” explains Slam Dunk’s organiser, Ben Ray. “We are proud now to announce something we have been putting together for some time. The afterparty will take place in the massive Leeds First Direct Arena. With over 4000 people set to be rocking out to some of the biggest rock anthems, the event is set to possibly be the biggest rock club night the UK has ever seen! We are even in contact with the Guinness World Records to see if we can set an official record!?”
Slam Dunk North takes place on Saturday 23rd May 2015, with Slam Dunk South at Hatfield’s The Forum on Sunday 24th May, and Slam Dunk Midlands in Wolverhapton on Monday 25th May. All three events will be headlined by You Me At Six.
