SikTh part ways with singer Justin Hill

Following their appearance at Camden Rocks this weekend (4th June), SikTh have announced that they have parted ways with singer Justin Hill (again). Hill has stepped down to focus on his career as a producer (again). Vocalist duties have been taken over by Aliases’ Joe Rosser.

Guitarist Dan Weller elaborated on the decision: “We’ve reached the point with SikTh where we are being offered some amazing opportunities… The band has a new lease of life. We have new management and a new full length album coming in the new year. Being in a band takes a lot of hard work and sacrifice and for SikTh to be given the attention it deserves takes a certain amount of commitment.

“Unfortunately, with the above in mind, Justin has decided to step aside from SikTh going forward – a decision we totally respect and understand.

“Being the stand up guy that he is Justin has helped in our active search for his replacement -and together we have found a gem – someone with incredible range and skills who will see in a new era of SikTh – one in which we hope to take the band higher than ever before. We wish Justin all the best with his future and will continue to be close friends.”

Speaking of his departure, Hill added: “It’s been a privilege to be part of Sikth, I never expected the great response we had to the reunion in 2014 and for things to kick off the way they have. It’s been great to work with the guys again, tour with some amazing bands and play to fans old and new.”

Assuming Justin doesn’t change his mind, SikTh will be putting Rosser through his paces at 2000 Trees on 9th July.
