Savages’ new album Number 14 in the midweek charts

Savages’ new album ‘Adore Life’ – released last Friday, 22nd January – is currently Number 14 in the midweek charts. Read Upset’s 4* review here (or in our January issue, out now).

The late David Bowie is still at Number 1 with ‘Blackstar’, for the third week running, with 2002’s ‘Best Of Bowie’ also at Number 4, ‘Nothing Has Changed’ at 6, and ‘Hunk Dory’ at 10.

Adele’s ’25’ is at Number 2, while Justin Bieber’s ‘Purpose’ is at 3 and Suede’s new record, ‘Night Thoughts’ is at 5 – the Top 5’s only new entry.

Megadeth’s ‘Dystopia’ also puts in an appearance at 7, meaning it could be the band’s first Top 10 in 22 years, following 1994’s ‘Youthanasia’.
