Petrol Girls want some help with their album cover

Following the release of their ‘Some Thing’ EP, Petrol Girls are working towards the release of their debut album: but they need a little help with the cover art.

Named ‘Talk Is Violence’ and due later this year, they’re inviting fans to send them images they could use in exchange for a free copy of the album if your submission is used.

“Violence is the overarching theme of our new record,” lead vocalist Ren Aldridge tells punktastic.com. “We hope to keep a conversation going about how society defines violence, and the ways that power and control are maintained through insidious forms of it.

“As part of that conversation we’re inviting people to submit images that they feel represent violence, for us to use in a collage forming part of the album artwork. We ideally want images with a strong line (in any direction) running through them and are open to everyone’s ideas of what violence is.”

If you’d like to take part, just send your pictures to petrolgirlsband@gmail.com by 12pm on Monday 22nd August. You’ll need to include a short description of the image, your name, and the disclaimer: I give Petrol Girls permission to use this image.
