People who don’t like Yuck’s new album “just don’t really like the band,” says Max Bloom

Yuck are set to release their new album ‘Stranger Things’ later this month, on 26th February. The follow up to 2013’s ‘Glow & Behold’, this record is a far better representation of the band, says Max Bloom (vocals / guitar).

“When we were waiting for the reviews to come in on the second album I was so nervous,” he admits in the new issue of Upset, “because in a way I knew it wasn’t really the album I had set out to make.

“For this album, I’m not scared at all. I feel like I’ve made something I’m really happy with. If people don’t like it then they just don’t really like my music taste, or don’t really like the band. I’m very comfortable with that.

“I’m trying to keep a very open mind. I just hope that people like it as much as I do.”

Read more from Yuck in the new issue of Upset, out Wednesday 10th February. Pre-order your copy here – along with some back issues, if you like (they’re very good). It will also be available from our featured stockists.

This month’s mag is fronted by one of our favourite acts (isn’t that always the case?), Panic! At The Disco. Elsewhere we’ve got interviews with Josh Farro, All Time Low, Enter Shikari, Tonight Alive, Bury Tomorrow, SWMRS and loads more.

Plus, Creeper’s Will Gould takes us inside new EP ‘The Stranger’.

Interview: Jess Goodman.
