Patrick Stump considering follow up to solo album, ‘Soul Punk’

Patrick Stump has reaffirmed in a Twitter Q&A that he may record a follow up to his much-delayed solo album ‘Soul Punk’, which was eventually released in October 2011.

“Probably not,” he said in response to a fan asking if we’ll ever get another ‘Soul Punk’. “I may do another solo record but it’ll sound very different I think.”

When asked if he’d tour the record, he added: “That’s harder to predict. I had a hard time booking shows for SP tour.”

This isn’t the first time Stump has hinted that he’d like to do another effort sans his Fall Out Boy bandmates. “There’s hope but it will be a minute,” he told a fan in November last year.

Fall Out Boy are currently in the UK, touring in support of their new album, ‘American Beauty/American Psycho’. The remaining dates are as follows:

06 Birmingham Barclaycard Arena
07 Cardiff Motorpoint Arena
09 Manchester Arena
10 Bournemouth International Centre
11 London SSE Arena Wembley
12 London SSE Arena Wembley
