Opeth sign to Nuclear Blast for new album ‘Sorceress’

Opeth have signed to Nuclear Blast Entertainment for the release of their forthcoming twelfth studio album, ‘Sorceress’, which will come out via their own imprint, Moderbolaget Records.

“The decision was made in Markus Staiger’s [Nuclear Blast kingpin] ridiculously potent Porsche going at 150 mph somewhere in the south of Germany,” says frontman Mikael Åkerfeldt.

“We’re happy to be part of the NB team and look forward to a fruitful relationship.”

The band are currently in the studio with Tom Dalgety putting the finishing touches on ‘Sorceress’ – watch this space.

Opeth also recently launched their own beer, celebrating their 25th anniversary by teaming up with Leeds-based brewery, Northern Monk Brew Co. (pictured) for the XXV Anniversary Imperial Stout.
