Nine Inch Nails among 2016 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame nominees

Nine Inch Nails and Deep Purple are among the nominees for the 2016 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. This year marks the second year that NIN have been on the ballot, having failed to receive eligibility last year.

Also up for the running is Cars, Cheap Trick, Yes, The Smiths and Steve Miller, whereas other nominees include N.W.A., Janet Jackson, Chicago, Chaka Khan, Chic, Los Lobos, The J.B.’s and The Spinners.

According to the organisers behind the award, acts can be nominated 25 years after their first record. The 2016 names will be announced in December. Place your bets.
