New Green Day demos “just fantastic”, claims producer

Green Day’s return to action has gathered pace in the last few weeks, with the band playing their first show in over a year and being inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. It seems like that ramp up is about to jump another level, too, with news of new music from the band.

Talking to Kerrang!, the band’s longtime producer Rob Cavallo claims to have heard five new demos from the band’s frontman Billie Joe Armsrtong. “Let me tell you,” he reveals, “they were just fantastic. He is absolutely at the top of his game. Fans can be sure that when they do return, the music will be amazing.”

Meanwhile, footage has emerged online of Green Day playing a show at their school back in 1990. Alongside former drummer John Kiffmeyer, Billie Joe Armstrong and Mike Dirnt perform in a courtyard at Pinole Valley High School. Check out all fifty two minutes of the performance below:
