Ah, ‘Q4’. That magical time of year when the nights draw in, the temperature drops and the big guns come out to play. This year is no different. Not only are this October’s Upset cover stars Of Mice & Men packing a brilliant new album ‘Cold World’ as they hit the UK, but some of the most sizeable names in the genre are making moves.
Green Day are back with a brand new album. Sum 41 have returned with something to say. Jimmy Eat World have a ninth album out. Legends the lot of them. That’s not to say there are no new voices, though. PWR BTTM are a vitally important band, Joyce Manor have made a Really Pretty Damn Brilliant new album, Pinegrove are hitting all the right notes too. You’ll be able to read about all those and more in our brand new issue when it hits the streets this Friday (7th October).
That’s not all though – as if we’d not ram even more amazing bands into our pulpy pages. You Me At Six are back, with a brand new album out early next year and a UK tour on the horizon before that. We grill them for the deets. There’s a celebration of 25 years of the brilliant Rise Records, from the bands who call it home. We chat with Korn, The Devil Wears Prada, Set It Off, I Prevail and Memphis May Fire, introduce Kamikaze Girls and SHVPES, and Pierce The Veil take on The Internet.
Add to that all the usual reviews, news and other ‘stuff’, and it’s another killer month. You can pick up the new Upset from Friday (7th October) from venues, record stores and bars around the UK. If you can’t find one – or just want the easy life – you can order a copy worldwide here, right now, or subscribe and get every month’s magazine sent direct to your door. Alternatively, you can read the full thing online from Friday too. Don’t say we’re not good to you.
