Marilyn Manson announces UK tour, vows never to play Glastonbury

After going head to head with Muse over the weekend at Download Festival, Marilyn Manson have announced a UK tour in support of their ninth studio album ‘The Pale Emperor’.

Kicking off at London’s Eventim Apollo on November 19th, the band will take in Wolverhampton and Glasgow before finishing things off at the O2 Apollo in Manchester. Full dates are below.

Marilyn Manson is currently on a run of festival shows ahead of a joint tour with The Smashing Pumpkins but one place you’ll never see the band is Glastonbury.

“I’d never do that or anything mainstream for the sake of it,” Marilyn Manson declares in an interview with The Daily Star. “I never try to think about a fan-base, otherwise you become the waiter rather than the cook.”

“2014 was my year of realising I didn’t like the way my life had gone for the past few years,” He continues. “I wanted to make a change. It’s almost as if I’m at the start of my career again. I’m saying: ‘Here’s me’, which is great place to be. People may know me for my name or school shootings or rock songs. But I want to reintroduce myself to the world, I just shake hands with everyone.”

Marilyn Manson will play:

19. London, Eventim Apollo UK
21 Wolverhampton, Civic UK
22 Glasgow, O2 Academy UK
23 Manchester, O2 Apollo UK
