It looks like Green Day’s new album will be Number 1 in the charts

Green Day’s new album ‘Revolution Radio’ was released last Friday (7th October), and it’s got a good chance of hitting Number 1 in the UK charts later this week having sold nearly twice of the record in second place.

‘Revolution Radio’ has currently notched up 24,000 combined sales, while Alter Bridge’s ‘The Last Hero’ has 13,000. Bee Gees co-founder Barry Gibb is at Number 3 with ‘In The Now’, while Kaiser Chiefs’ ‘Stay Together’ is at 4 and OneRepublic’s ‘Oh My My’ is at 5.

Green Day will tour the UK next year, with shows at Leeds’ First Direct Arena on 5th February, followed by Manchester Arena on the 6th, and London’s O2 Arena on the 8th. They’ll also play British Summer Time Hyde Park in London on 1st July.
