The music festival set up by Slipknot, imaginatively titled Knotfest, will be returning to the San Manuel Ampitheater in California this October. The two day event will be headlined by Slipknot and Judas Priest with performances from Bring Me The Horizon, Mastodon and Ghostface Killah amongst others.
Fifty bands in total will be appearing over the festival’s 5 stages, which promised to be “a happening that will awaken your darkest senses.”
The third Knotfest will also play host to a Slipknot museum, a Thunderdome wrestling arena, carnival rides and games, including a fire belching Tarot card reader and a highstriker that shoots 50ft flames into the sky. Basically, there’ll be lots of fire.
This is the second edition of Knotfest to be held in California, with the 2014 event playing host to over 50,000 people, and might be the last chance to catch Slipknot for a while after Corey Taylor hinted the band might be taking a two-year break before they start working on a follow-up to 2014’s ‘.5: The Gray Chapter’
