It’s a “new era” for Red Hot Chili Peppers as they finish their new album

Red Hot Chili Peppers are “heading into a new era,” according to bassist Flea.

Finishing up work on their new album, the band have been working with producer Danger Mouse. Now, speaking to Q, Flea has explained the record is near completion.

We’re heading into a new era and we’re really excited,” he explains. “It’s new and different but without sacrificing the good bits of us. There are some songs we already had, and some new ones too. I can’t wait to play it live.”

Red Hot Chili Peppers will headline this year’s Reading & Leeds Festivals alongside Foals, Twenty One Pilots, The 1975 and more.
