A Gun N’ Roses reunion has seemed unlikely, but now after years of throwing insults back and forth, former guitarist Slash has revealed that he and frontman Axl Rose are finally getting along.
“It was probably way overdue, you know,” he told Sweden’s Aftonbladet TV, of making amends. “But it’s… you know, it’s very cool at this point. You know, let some of that, sort of, negative… dispel some of that negative stuff that was going on for so long.”
Slash left the band in 1996. He’s since released albums with Slash’s Snakepit, Velvet Revolver and as a solo musician; most recently, ‘World On Fire’ in 2014.
Guns N’ Roses were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2012, their first year of eligibility.
