Funeral For A Friend move their farewell London shows

Funeral For A Friend have moved the two London shows of their farewell tour.

Originally scheduled for 15th and 16th April at Shepherd’s Bush Empire, the gigs will now take place in May at The Forum. The tour (which will see the band play ‘Hours‘ in full on the first night and ‘Casually Dressed and Deep In Conversation‘ on the second) now looks like this.

This isn’t the first gig that’s had to move from Shepherd’s Bush Empire recently. The venue has been closed since late last year due to ongoing structural work, and has seen gigs from Nothing But Thieves, PVRIS and Basement moved elsewhere.

“I guess the main reason behind it is time,” lead vocalist Matthew Davies-Kreye says of the split. “Fourteen and a half years is way longer than any of us considered this band would exist for, and to have pretty much ticked off all the ‘musical bucket list’ options we had was good.

“We made a record that we loved and we felt that it marked a full stop for us, it was us coming full circle again and that really gave us a sense of closure so it felt like the right move.”
