Foo Fighters win two Emmys for Sonic Highways documentary

Foo Fighters have won two Emmy awards for the documentary series that accompanied their last album, 2014’s ‘Sonic Highways’.

At last night’s awards, they picked up both Outstanding Sound Editing For Nonfiction Programming (Single Or Multi-Camera) and Outstanding Sound Mixing For Nonfiction Programming (Single Or Multi-Camera).

Each of the eight episodes focussed on the musical history of a different American city, through a series of interviews by frontman Dave Grohl.

Other music-related-ish Emmy winners include Stevie Wonder: Songs In The Key Of Life for Outstanding Music Direction, House of Cards for Outstanding Music Composition for a Series and Inside Amy Schumer for Outstanding Original Music and Lyrics.
