Fireworks to go on indefinite hiatus

Michigan’s Fireworks have announced they will go on an indefinite hiatus after their current run of shows.

The band, who play the UK next week – including appearances at all three legs of Slam Dunk – took to Facebook to explain.

“There’s no way to express how much your love and support has meant to Fireworks – and furthermore, to us as individuals over the last 8 years or so,” the band say. “After these upcoming gigs are ripped, we will be taking a break for awhile to give the other sides of life a try. We really don’t know how long “awhile” is, but you’ll be the first to know when we figure that out. Hope to see everyone this Spring and Summer. Fireworks Forever.”

What could be their last UK shows in quite a while read:

19 KINGSTON Fighting Cocks
20 CARDIFF Clwb Ifor Bach
21 MANCHESTER Star And Garter
22 GLASGOW Classic Grand
23 LEEDS Slam Dunk North
24 HATFIELD Slam Dunk South
25 WOLVERHAMPTON Slam Dunk Midlands
