Enter Shikari had to cancel their Download Festival warm-up show on Friday after vocalist Rou Reynolds was taken to hospital. It was only the third time the St Albans mob have cancelled a show in their twelve year career and they’ve already announced details of the rescheduled show.
Returning to Motion in Bristol, the show will now take place on July 9th.
That’s not the only live news for Enter Shikari. After announcing a huge UK tour with The Wonder Years, the band has spoken about the run in an interview with the Ticketmaster Blog.
“It’s the biggest tour we’ve ever embarked on, in the biggest rooms we’ve ever played,” the band explains backstage at Download festival. “We tried to keep it to one floor. We don’t want to play rooms with balconies because we’re aware that people who come to our shows want to be involved and be part of the community.”
The band are bringing The Wonder Years out with them on the run, which isn’t the most obvious of pairings but as Enter Shikari explain, “They obviously share a lot of the same morals and ideas in their writing of their music, so it makes sense. They’re a great band, we’re looking forward to having them out with us.”
Enter Shikari will play.
