Death From Above 1979 to record live album at Third Man Records

Death From Above 1979 are going to record a live album at Jack White‘s Third Man Records studio in Nashville next month. The plan is to record the 16th July set straight to vinyl, in front of a small group of fans.

“DFA 1979 are swinging through Nashville prepared to record direct-to-acetate in the Third Man Records Blue Room,” says the studio, “with ten years of lost time to recover and a fresh perspective. We can’t wait to see it, cut it, and share it with the world.”

DFA recently released their second studio album ‘The Physical World’, nearly a decade after their 2004 debut ‘You’re a Woman, I’m a Machine’. The Canadian duo – Sebastien Grainger and Jesse F Keeler – have a few UK dates coming up, including:

27 Glastonbury
28 Brighton, Concorde 2
