Death From Above 1979 cancel tour because AWOLNATION pull out

Death From Above 1979 have been forced to cancel their US tour, as the band they were supporting on some of the dates, AWOLNATION, have pulled out to support Prophets Of Rage instead.

“Late last week we learned that many of the dates we were scheduled to play with Awolnation were cancelled,” explain the band on Facebook.

“We had nothing to do with that decision, but in turn we have decided to not participate in the remaining shows. We scrambled all weekend to try and still make things work, but there simply is no way.

“As boring and/or square as it is to say, the reality is that the costs of touring are simply too high for us to endeavor on such a short run.”

Refunds are available at the point of purchase.

DFA do however still have a tour planned with Black Rebel Motorcycle Club and Deap Vally for this October.

Prophets Of Rage is the new supergroup containing members of Rage Against The Machine, Public Enemy and Cyprus Hill.
