Creeper, Dillinger Escape Plan, Asking Alexandria and more for Reading & Leeds 2016

We know there’s a big ol’ Reading & Leeds announcement coming on Tuesday that will include TWO more headliners (WHO COULD THEY POSSIBLY BE?) but, to keep you going until then, Daniel P. Carter has announced ten new names for the lineup.

Asking Alexandria will be headlining The Pit stage while Dillinger Escape Plan, Fearless Vampire Killers, Creeper, Citizen, Dead!, Kvelertak and Wakrat (the new project from Rage Against The Machine’s Tim Commerford) will also be appearing.

Tim explains “I can’t believe that Wakrat will be playing Reading and Leeds this year. It’s a blessing to play and introduce my new passion to a part of the world that has been so good to me and has some of the most incredible fans and we hope to win more over.”

Also announced, Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes and Sleeping With Sirens will be taking to the Main Stage which is sure to be absolute chaos.

“I would say for people to look out for us hopefully coming back at some point this year which is a bit different for us,” teased Citizen’s Nick Hamm earlier this year. “We neglect a lot of places that aren’t the US but we’re going to try and be better about it.”

“I hope that our appearance at these things is checked as being unusual,” Creeper’s Will Gould told Upset about the opportunities presented to the band. “It’s really odd that a punk band like us are getting to do some of the things we do. I hope it makes people want to do things for themselves.”

Reading & Leeds 2016 takes place August 26th-28th and will be headlined by Red Hot Chili Peppers, Foals and Disclosure with Twenty One Pilots, Parkway Drive, Eagles of Death Metal, Slaves, Nothing But Thieves, Crossfaith and more also appearing.

Tickets are on sale now.
