At The Drive-In to release new music, tour the world in 2016

It’s At The Drive-In Day and, after a few days of wild speculation thanks to a countdown on their website, the band have confirmed that they’re back. Again.

According to a banner uploaded to their website (now since removed) At The Drive-In will be releasing new music in 2016, their first since 2000’s ‘Relationship Of Command‘, as well as heading out on a world tour.

As the above banner confirms, the reunited lineup of 2012 – Omar Rodriguez-Lopez, Cedric Bixler-Zavala, Jim Ward, Tony Hajjar and Paul Hinojos – will be returning for the 2016 leg.

So far the band have been confirmed for two shows, Shaky Knees Festival and Rock On The Range, which both take place in May.

At The Drive-In originally got back together in 2012 for a string of live dates after breaking up in 2001 but haven’t performed together since a headline show at London’s Brixton Academy in August of 2012.
