Fresh off the road in the UK and Europe with Brand New, Dinosaur Pile-Up are giving the video for their single ’11:11’ a first spin.
The first track to be taken from the band’s third album ‘Eleven Eleven’ (see what they did there? – Ed), the video is “a visual representation of what the band have been up to in the two years since last album ‘Nature Nurture’ was released”.
No, it’s not just a band sat around in their pants for three minutes.
“I guess 11:11 as a song was the accumulative result of touring solidly for like a year,” vocalist / guitarist Matt Bigland explains. “So we wanted to show that in the video. We had a bunch of footage from touring the USA, tours with Brand New and MC Rut, touring Europe, playing on high rise roof tops, Japan, India. So we wanted to kind of show that journey I guess. We put a lot of energy into that year, and we had the best time doing it. It was a mix of exhaustion and experiences we’ll never forget so we wanted to join that last year to the new chapter of the band.”
‘Eleven Eleven’ will be released vi SO Recordings later this year. The band will play Bestival this September. Check out the video to ’11:11’ below.
