We got a fleeting glimpse of The Wonder Years when they came over with Enter Shikari earlier this year but it’s been a forever since we’ve had them all to ourselves. The band share our sentiment and will be returning to our shores for four special shows at the end of July.
Writing on Instagram, The Wonder Years explain “Our dearest United Kingdom, we know it’s been too long since we’ve really headlined and we’re sorry.
“Scheduling all of this is hard and with two of us getting married this year on top of all the touring we already had planned, fitting a UK run in has been a challenge, but we decided that isn’t fair to you. So, we’re making it happen. At the end of July, we’ll be coming over for four very special, very intimate shows. We’re playing in small rooms and playing long, ground-covering sets.
“It’s going to be officially announced and put on sale next week but we wanted you to know we were thinking about you and that it’s happening. I can’t know for sure, but because the shows are so soon and the rooms are so small, we imagine tickets may sell quickly so I’d stay locked to your internet device early next week if you’re intent on coming.
“Miss you. See you soon,
The Wonder Years”
So that’s small TWY shows being announced and on sale next week. Get Hyped.
