It’s Spring. The lambs are skipping in the fields, the flowers blooming, the trees sprouting green. Anything is possible – like the new issue of Upset, nearly a third bigger than usual and packing more amazing bands than we can shake a leafy stick at.
On the cover, we’re proud – nay, humbled – to welcome Weezer, fresh off the back of an album that’s taken them right back to the top of the tree. Not that they’re sitting back and basking in the plaudits – they’re already at work on the next one. We get the lowdown on the (possibly sweary) ‘Black’ album.
Not that the names stop there. We’ve enough great bands this month we wish we could give them all the big billing. Against The Current unleash their pop-tastic, grin inducing debut album ‘In Our Bones’, and you’ll find a full feature and album review in this month’s issue. Talking of Issues, they’re back too. There’s also features with Babymetal, Lonely The Brave, Modern Baseball, Nothing, White Lung, Andy Black, PVRIS and PUP. That’s value, right there.
Elsewhere you’ll find all kinds of sparkly gems, as Sleeping With Sirens take on The Internet, we chat to New Found Glory, Young Guns, As It Is and more about 10 years of Slam Dunk, and introduce Mother Feather in About To Break. That’s alongside all the usual regular reviews, news and other gubbins. We spoil you.
The new issue of Upset hits the streets this Friday, May 6th. You can pre-order a copy to be delivered straight to you door here.
