Wavves have posted a statement on Twitter to say they don’t “want or need” fans who are “filled with hate” – including those who are misogynist, racist or homophobic.
“I don’t want everyone at my shows to be clones of each other,” say’s the band’s Nathan Williams, who’s not long released new album ‘V’.
“However in light of the constant rape, murder, racism, homophobia and misogyny that goes on seemingly every day, I feel the need to make clear who I personally make music for, and who I don’t.”
“I’d rather have a room half filled with good energy that one filled with hate,” he adds. “You are either part of the solution or part of the problem.”
