Reading & Leeds Festival takes place this weekend (28th – 30th August), and Chicago, Illinois five-piece Twin Peaks will be making the trek over for a couple of sets on the NME / BBC Radio 1 Stage.
“We’ve never played a festival across the sea so it’s certainly exciting for us,” says vocalist and guitarist Cadien Lake James, from “the control room” of the band’s studio.
“We’re psyched to play for our fans in the UK and check out what the festival is all about. We’ve heard lots about it!
“We always have a blast playing [new album ‘Wild Onion’] and it’s been awesome seeing crowds have fun and react positively over here at Lollapalooza, Outlands and bunch more festivals. So hopefully everyone digs it at Reading & Leeds.”
“Hopefully we get to see the DMA’s,” he says, of who they’re hoping to see at the event. “We just met them recently in San Francisco. They’re on around the same time as us.”
And do Black Peaks have anything special planned for their sets? “Try to avoid using my terrible British accent!”
Reading Festival 2015 has now completely sold out, with the last few weekend tickets snapped up a few days ago. Tickets for Leeds Festival are still available. Read more about Reading & Leeds in the September issue of Upset.
