Brace yourself. Leeds & Reading Festival are making an announcement this week.
The twinned bank holiday bash has already announced Red Hot Chili Peppers as their first headliner alongside the perfect festival band Twenty One Pilots, Eagles Of Death Metal and Crossfaith. Slaves, The 1975, Hinds, Boy Better Know, Rat Boy, The Courteeners and DJ EZ are also confirmed to play.
Festival boss Melvin Benn explained, “I’m thrilled to be able to announce Red Hot Chili Peppers as the first headliner for Reading & Leeds 2016, as a festival exclusive. Their incredible live show will be an unforgettable headline performance at the UK’s biggest music festival. We’ve still got some really exciting names to announce and I can’t wait to reveal the rest of the line up. It’s going to be our best year yet.”
While the list of potential bands keeps growing and growing as more bands confirm they’ll be active this Summer, it looks like we can rule out Leeds & Reading Festival regulars Enter Shikari who’ll be too busy touring the world.
nope. sorry. UK tour, then off around the world (some of it). https://t.co/9DowYCRoSA
