“Saudade is a profound melancholy and longing for something or someone,” says Boston Manor‘s Henry Cox, explaining the thinking behind the title for their new EP “Sometimes for something that you’ve never experienced or possessed. It carries the knowledge that person or thing for which you are longing may never return.”
It may sound super emo but there’s hope in the band’s downbeat charm. Don’t take our word for it though, check out the four track release below.
‘Saudade’ is properly released this Friday 20th November and marks Boston Manor’s first project with Pure Noise Records.
“We’re really excited to be working with Pure Noise,” says Henry. “They’re really supportive of us and have a roster and an integrity that we’ve long since admired. They’re a perfect home for our band.”
Good stuff all round then.
